A goniophotometer is a tool used to determine an instrument's luminosity. It does this by evaluating the 3D curve of the light intensity distribution. HOPOOCOLOR's goniophotometer- HPG2000 is typically used to measure the radiance or brightness of equipment. It gauges how bright indoor spotlights, street lamps, or car lights are. HPG2000 Goniophotometer (Mirror Type C)

A goniophotometer uses a technique for sensing light that automatically distributes intensity over a 3D curve. Its measuring range is between 5 to 30 meters. All forms of illumination sources can be measured by this device such as LEDs and plant lighting. HID lights such as indoor and outdoor luminaires, roadway lights, and street lamps can also be measured by this device.

One specific characteristic of the HPG2000 goniophotometer is that it can simultaneously measure the vertical and horizontal axes. It acts as a tool that calculates how much light is directed in a specific direction. The results can be exported as CIE, IES, LDT and other format files. By connecting a goniophotometer via USB to a PC, English version software can be operated on Windows 7, 8, 10, or 11. One of the key factors contributing to the goniophotometer’s importance is the production of photometric data files. The photometric data is entered into lighting design software to reproduce the level of illumination and beam pattern on a surface. It enables lighting plans to be created without requiring time-consuming and expensive physical models.Knowing the specifications and features of the goniophotometer is also important. It must be noted that the angle decode system and the rotary motor of the goniophotometer are both from Germany and Mitsubishi Motors. They aid in the device’s accurate and smooth rotation. When it starts and stops, it is quite stable. Moreover, the devices ‘near the field detector and large mirror move in tandem in a straight line. The far-field detector detects light coming directly from the luminaries. All the while the huge mirror and far-field detector move synchronously. 

The test luminaire rotates around the mirror with a vertical axis angle of 180 degrees (or 0-360 degrees), and it also rotates around itself with a horizontal axis angle of 180 degrees (or 0-360 degrees).Uses
